  • What is Fantasy Day Trader™ (FDT)?

    FDT is a mobile/tablet app and unique day trading game. You can view futures, interest rates, mutual funds, ETFs and stock indices; and trade on stocks, commodities and currencies using virtual money. While other stock market games exist, none have the market coverage, educational features or prizes offered by FDT.

  • Where can I download the FDT app?

    You can download FDT from our website at www.fantasydaytrader.com or from the Apple App Store, Google Play or BlackBerry App World. All you need is a smartphone or tablet PC with an Internet connection to start playing.

  • What does the FDT app do?

    The app allows you to view quotes, charts and news from 170+ exchanges. If you pay to play you can access technical analysis from 55 exchanges with a suite of educational features that include daily top 5 bullish and top 5 bearish recommendations.

  • Is the trading real?

    No. Quotes are real but the trading is virtual, i.e. virtual money is used to buy and sell rather than real money.

  • How much does the app cost?

    The app is free.

  • What is the game?

    The game is based on day trading stocks, commodities and currencies from more than 100 exchanges (see Markets).

  • How long does the game last?

    There is a game every trading day lasting 22 hours; from the open of the Australian Stock Exchange in Sydney to one hour after the close on Wall Street.

  • How do I play?

    You can play the game in Free Play but you can only win prizes if you pay to play (over 18s only), which you can do from our website or in-app using various payment methods.

  • How much does it cost to play?

    The game costs $2.50 to play. For $495 you can play every day for a whole year and also have a $1,995 trader training course (see The Academy).

  • What can I win?

    Each week you can win a live $250,000 trading account with a broker of our choice. You can also win other trading related prizes.

  • How does winning a trading account work?

    If you win, you can trade live for one year and anything you make, you keep. However, if you lose 10% of your original account at any time during the year, it will be closed.

  • Who can play?

    The games are available to anyone from the English-speaking world. Bespoke games will be launched in China, Russia, Indonesia, Brazil etc. in the future.

  • Who are the typical players of the game?

    Typical players include: (1) students and gamers (anyone who wants to have a real trading account or manage their own finances) and (2) professionals (brokers, dealers, bankers, accountants, lawyers, etc.).

  • If I make losses, can I restart the game?

    In Free Play you can contact us at support@fantasydaytrader.com to reset your account. unfortunately in paid games you cannot reset your account.
